Why I make these guides
The outfit has to work after you leave the house.
A look can be lovely in a photograph and still fail the moment you step outside. Maybe the shoes are wrong for the walk, the coat covers the best part, or the outfit only works in one temperature. Those are the details I pay attention to.
I like clothes that can do more than one job. A sweater that goes from errands to dinner. Boots that work with both a skirt and jeans. A warm layer that makes the whole outfit better instead of hiding it. When I write a guide, I want you to see the full combination and the reason it makes sense.
And I never expect you to own the exact pieces in a picture. My favorite part is the swap: a color you have, a different shoe, a coat that is already by your door. Take the idea and make it yours.
